MG Rover parts specialist XPart has introduced an improved version of the coolant pipes it supplies for manual MGF and TF cars to help prevent corrosion

New stainless steel coolant pipes are now available for manual MGF and TF cars from all XPart AutoService centres and parts wholesalers. The pipes are being manufactured on original MG Rover tooling and have been rigorously tested to meet with XPart’s quality requirements. They offer a robust alternative to the cars’ standard-fit steel pipes, which are susceptible to corrosion. The new pipes will cost £65 + VAT and can be ordered under part number PEP102470SS.

MOSCOW — Delphi is expanding its parts operation, training and service centre network in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, as demand for high quality replacement parts and servicing for petrol and diesel vehicles in these regions continues to grow. Burnett, previously of logistics firm TNT, will be responsible for forging relationships with European car manufacturers and their tiered suppliers, and explaining how Evolution’s emergency logistics services help to prevent costly production delays around the world. His appointment is the company’s second in the past few months, following the recent addition of Barbara Piber to its German sales team. Managing director Brad Brennan anticipates making a third appointment by the end of the year.

Paulo Pancaro, an apprentice at the Federal Mogul Chapel-en-le-Frith plant, has been recognised for his electrical skills by SETA Training and Advisory Services

An apprentice at Federal-Mogul’s Chapel-en-le-Frith manufacturing plant has been named as the 2009 to 2010 ‘Electrical Apprentice of the Year’ by training experts SETA. Sixteen-year-old Paulo Pancaro was recognised for the electrical skills he exhibited during the first year of his four-year ‘Multi-skilled tradesman’ apprentice programme. Pancaro is an apprentice at Federal Mogul’s Vehicle Safety and Protection facility, where he recently began the on-the-job portion of this training in the disc brake pad manufacturing area of the plant.
