Iconic aircraft returns to thrill fans at world renowned celebration of speed

£110,000 needed now to help the last flying Vulcan fly in 2011

XH558, the last flying Vulcan, will thrill crowds at the Goodwood Festival of Speed at 13:00 on Sunday   3rd July.  The aircraft gave a show-stopping display in 2010 and has once again been invited to bring its unique spectacle to the thousands of fans that make the annual pilgrimage to the world famous event.  July 1st, the opening day of the Goodwood Festival of Speed main event marks XH558’s ‘birthday’; it was on this day in 1960 that she was delivered to RAF Waddington to begin active service.

Growth of Delphi Packard Electrical / Electronic Architecture division brings new jobs to region

Moldova Noua, Romania – Delphi Automotive is opening a new manufacturing facility at Moldova Noua, in the southwest region of Romania. The site will produce wiring harness modules for vehicle manufacturers across Europe and will work closely with other Delphi facilities in the country to ensure efficiency and flexibility for its customers. Employment at the new plant could potentially approach 1,000 by the end of the year.

15 million EPS systems made by Nexteer Automotive since 1999, saving almost 5 billion litres of fuel

12 May 2011, Paris – This month the 15 millionth car equipped with Nexteer electric power steering (EPS) will be produced, marking the latest in a series of milestones for the company. Once regarded as a niche product for small cars, EPS has become the technology of choice for fuel-efficient vehicles as manufacturers strive to reduce their CO2 emissions, due to its lower energy consumption than traditional hydraulic systems.
